Rental Details

Minimum Rental: 1 week from May until mid-October
(Shorter term stays of at least 3 nights are possible outside these dates.)
Arrival time: Saturday between 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Rentals include:

  • Daily housekeeping (except Sundays): Our lovely housekeeper, Nicoletta, will be at the house 3 hours each morning, Monday – Friday and does the final cleaning Saturdays.
  • A welcome pantry of essentials including coffee, tea, milk, sugar, fruit, bottled water and L’Aiaccia’s very own extra virgin olive oil. Upon request, a more extensive, personalized food hamper can be arranged for your arrival at an additional cost.
  • Air conditioning in all bedrooms. Each bedroom has an individual HVAC unit allowing personalized temperature control.
  • All utilities except for central gas heat.

The property features:

  • 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms
  • A very well-equipped kitchen with a ILVE 6-burner gas stove with two ovens. Additional appliances include a dishwasher, coffee maker, electric teapot, toaster and hand mixer. A cook’s delight!
  • Open-air loggia on the 1st floor of the main house (aka the 2nd floor for our American guests) with gorgeous views. In the cooler months, windows are installed in arches to fully enclose the room making it into a cozy solarium.
  • Wireless broadband internet
  • A 55” Satellite HDTV with SKY Italia satellite service (English language feeds on many channels)
  • A lovely outdoor dining area with travertine table under the wisteria arbor overlooking the formal garden
  • A protected outdoor dining area with tile-topped table within the entry portico of the main house
  • Two poolside seating terraces (one at each end of the pool) with lounge chairs, side tables and a large 3×4 meter Poggesi umbrella
  • A very comfortably furnished upper garden terrace with beautiful views across the grounds and countryside and a 3×4 meter Poggesi umbrella for shade
  • A “games barn” with Ping Pong and Foozball tables and a bathroom
  • A large Dolcevita gas grill
  • A DVD player with a collection of some of our family’s favorite movies
  • A library of English language books including many novels and interesting books about Italy and the local area
  • A separate laundry room accessed from the entry terrace with Miele washer and dryer, plus an iron, ironing board and drying rack
  • Hairdryers in all bathrooms
  • Standing fans in all bedrooms (in addition to AC units)
  • Large working wood-burning fireplace in the living room of the main house
  • Land-line telephone to make local calls
  • Safe with programmable lock

Additional Services Available:

  • Cooking services.  Nicoletta, our housekeeper, is also a wonderful cook (see “What Guests Say”) and is available to prepare meals for you at an additional charge.  Cooking services should be booked in advance.
  • Grocery shopping service can be arranged for a fee based on time required.

Payment Requirements

  • All payments are to be made in Euros.
  • A 30% deposit is due upon reservation. The balance of the rent is due 9 weeks prior to rental start date.
  • A refundable security deposit is due 1 week prior to the rental start date.
  • The local government requires the payment of a small tourist tax of 2€ per guest/per night payable before the end of your stay.
  • Central gas heat is charged separately by usage.
  • Extras services such as cooking or grocery shopping are payable directly in cash prior to your departure.  It is recommended that special services be reserved in advance.

Restrictions

  • L’Aiaccia is a NON-SMOKING property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in any of the buildings, including the first floor open-air Loggia.
  • There are some unprotected drops/slopes around the property so it should be noted that young children must be supervised at all times.
  • This property is not handicapped accessible.
